"Absolutely awesome work here which totally hypnotizes you, a mind's eye walkabout." Errian Warrior

New energy, happy to be back...

After 9 years of behind the scenes,  Cleveland-born musician, Bobbi Holt is once again producing new music under the name Mind Lab Music.  MLM is an incredibly creative environment that allows Bobbi to tap diverse musical influences and styles found in Ambient, Chill, World, Jazz and Progressive music.  From reflective to up-tempo and edgy, Bobbi delivers a refreshing fusion melting pot of sound.

"I really love Sanjah!  I just listened to your music and could feel the different instruments resonating in different parts of my body. You are very talented and you have a lot to give to the world."  (Marcia Kosich - Reno NV)

Mind Lab Music debuted in 2011 with the ambient / relaxation album Mandala,  and was the flashpoint for exploring ambient music full on.  For the time being, Bobbi will be releasing singles to become an established artist in the genre.

Prior to 2010, Bobbi was heavily involved with her Jazz Rock Fusion instrumental group Rare Blend, co-founded with Victor Samalot.  Whether recording or performing, her contribution as a main songwriter and keyboardist, was intuitive and passionate always looking for the next picture to "paint with sound."

From 1995 – 2010 (now on permanent hiatus), Rare Blend recorded 5 albums received rave reviews regionally and worldwide from major publications such as All About Jazz, Jazz Review.com, 20th Century Guitar magazine, Progression Magazine, Relix Magazine, Akron Beacon Journal, The Plain Dealer, Cleveland Scene, and many more...

Rare Blend also shared bills or opened for the likes of David Sanborn, Special EFX, Ozric Tentacles, Tunnels, Dark Star Orchestra, Kevin Eubanks, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Spyro Gyra, Frogg Cafe, Los Lobos, and others.

Mind Lab Music sounds like:

Think of a chill soiree with musicians Brian Eno, Orb, Bill Laswell, Tangerine Dream, Sonic Tribe and Deuter. In a word…tasty.

Gear and such....

Bobbi likes to keep her artistry simple.  Switching to bass guitar in 2012, she plays a 5 strings Yamaha bass, uses Mark Bass amplification, Tech 21 and Boss outboard gear, Korg keyboards and records on an Apple MacBook Pro and / or Korg D1600MKII.
